I am a Colorado native. I was born in Greeley and grew up in Cortez. I moved to Colorado Springs in 1998 for college. In a Health Psychology course, I became interested in combing talk therapy and massage therapy. I became a massage therapist to learn how to help people relax and use proper body mechanics to decrease the chance of overuse injuries and tension while working or in everyday life.  I utilize my counseling skills to help clients learn about healthy habits and how to establish a helpful self-care routine. The panicle of my education has been IMT and STR because each of these modalities helps identify and treat the root causes of pain and ailments of the body, mind, and spirit.

 

I enjoy traveling around Colorado to explore small towns and find the hidden gems in each town. Salida is currently my favorite town. It has good local restaurants, a nice walking trail by the river, and fun, trendy consignment stores. My all-time favorite town is Ouray. I love to swim in hot springs, look at the mountain peaks, and window shop through town. In Colorado Springs, my family and I enjoy outdoor concerts in the evenings, farmer's markets in the summer, local hiking trails, and tasty restaurants. We regularly take our dog on walks, especially to places with watering holes for her to swim.
